Supported by the generosity of others

Oak Tree Farm is supported by many volunteers who give generously of their time to support the activities of the charity. They work alongside staff to support our Team Members, help in the tea room and shop and serve on the management committee as Trustees.

We have about fifteen regular volunteers currently and ten elected Trustees who are all volunteers. They have a diverse range of experience which assists the charity to offer a better experience to Team Members. This may be an interest in gardening or pottery, professional experience or just a motivation to help others.

Volunteers are required to supply a reference and undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service ‘Police Check’, we also prefer potential volunteers to be introduced by someone known to the charity.

Currently we are not actively seeking volunteers but if you are interested in becoming a volunteer get in touch. We do look for volunteers from time to time, most recently for our tea room and shop. We are always interested in speaking to people who may consider becoming a Trustee. There is some responsibility with this role, Trustees meet on one evening a month to discuss policy, finance etc; if you are interested in this get in touch and we can arrange for a current Trustee to explain things.
